The reason waxed cotton works so well as a water resistant barrier is that its hollow fibres are able to be filled up with, and hold onto, wax, rendering the fibres watertight. However, what sets British Millerain’s TekWax® cotton apart is its ultra-dry finish. This gives your ThruDark garment all the functional performance of a classic waxed piece without the dampened feel of traditional waxed cotton.
